I. Call Meeting to Order/Roll Call
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority Together Elk River Sub-Committee was called to order at
9:00 a.m. by Charlie Blesener.
2. Consent Agenda
Motion by Debbi and seconded by Kaylin to approve the July 27, 2020
Meeting Minutes. Motion carried 6-0.
3. Together Elk.River Marketing Campaign
TER Week: The week is August 23 -29`h.The group discussed purchasing Facebook
Boost ads and Google ads to promote the Support Together Elk River Spirit Week.
The budget starting out for Together Elk River was $9,000 as of today there was
$8,457.51 spent or allocated,which leaves $542.49 remaining. Kaylin will check with
Liz on the cost of Facebook boosted ads. Kaylin created and shared a couple options
to use for the'Facebook campaign.The group liked the picture with the red
roof/kiosk and would like to see the dates of the week added to the final ad. The ads
would run the week prior to the event and the week of the event.
Motion by Debbi and seconded by Kaylin to allocate half of the remaining
$542.49 budget towards social media ads and purchased by the Social Media
Task Force. Motion carried 6-0.
Marketing Outreach: Information of Support Together Elk River Spirit Week went
out last week in the Chamber newsletter. The Chamber is working on a promotional
list of all the business promotions, once complete the list will be posted on the
Chamber website and promoted via social media sites.The Social Media Task Force
discussed a "Share a post—win a-prize"which would help disseminate the various
awards of chamber bucks. The Chamber will come up with a plan to distribute the
chamber bucks at the next meeting.

Banners:They have not been ordered yet. The group confirmed photo 2 for the
Dine banner. Once both the Support and Dine banners are designed, they will be
sent to streets to be printed and stitched. Staff will request that the banner hangers
be hung perpendicular to Main Street.
Yard signs: Sounds like we will need more stakes in the near future. Charlie is
checking with the DECA students to see if all the signs have been requested have
been or will be delivered.

Moved by Kaylin and seconded by Amanda to adjourn the meeting. Motion .
carried 6-0.
There being no further business,Charlie Blesener adjourned the meeting of the Elk
River Economic Development Authority Together Elk River Subcommittee at 9:45
a.m.
