RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE FEE FOR A PAWNBROKERS LICENSE
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has deemed it appropriate to
license pawn shops; and,
WHEREAS, the current license fee of $50.00 greatly falls short
of the cost incurred by the City for City staff to
process the license and City pOlice to administer the
license; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has researched the cost incurred
by other cities to process and administer pawnshop
licenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River, Minnesota, that the fee for a license
for pawnbrokers shall be $1,750.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 21st day
of May, 1990.
