RESOLUTION 90 - ~
RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A FINE SCHEDULE FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of ~lk River has not had an increase in its
parking fine, for numerous years; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River directed the
Chief of Police to review the parking fines schedule
in Elk River and compare the schedule to neighboring
and similar communities; and,
WHEREAS, the information presented to the City Council by the
Chief of Police on May 21, 1990, indicated a need to
adjust some of the parking fines within the City of
Elk River.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that the parking fine schedule shall be
established effective 7/1/90 as follows:

Violation of the over-time parking
restrictions $ 5.00
Violation of the ProhibitedlImproper
Vehicle Parking restrictions 10.00
Violation of the Fire Lane/Hydrant
parking restrictions 15.00
Violation of the Winter Parking
Ordinance 10.00
Violation of the No Parking 2:00 a.m. -
6:00 a.m. requirement 10.00
Violation of the handicapped parking
only requirement 100.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River that if the parking fines are not paid and
received within seven days, then the fines will
automatically doubled and this requirement will be
imprinted with bold letters on the citations.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
on the 21st day of May, 1990.
