A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE UPGRADING OF THE
TH 169/MAIN STREET INTERSECTION
WHEREAS, the traffic volumes using the TH 169/Main Street intersection
continue to increase; and
WHEREAS, the City expects development in and around the intersection to
continue in the next five year period; and
WHEREAS, the City is concerned about the safety of motorists and pedestrians
using the intersection;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota:
1. The City requests that the Minnesota Department of Transportation
financially assist the City of Elk River with the upgrading of the
TH 169/Main Street intersection to a condition which can safely
handle the current and projected traffic and pedestrian volumes.
