VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 11, 1953
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Dec 11, 1953.
Members present:
E.A. Parent, Mayor; Harry Dow, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk
Other persons at the meeting Mayor Elect Schwartz, Earl Hetrick, and Wm McGregor.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider certain matters regarding the Municipal Liquor Store.
Manager Hettrick made recommendations about the operation of the Liquor Store:
Two cash registers with two drawers each
One adding machine
Repairs to front door lock and hinges
It was decided that Hettrick and McGregor get together and draw up a list of proceedings for the
proper operation of the store. Wm McGregor presented a report of the first eleven months of 1953
for the liquor store which was approved.
