VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 5, 1954
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Jan 5, 1954 for the purpose of considering
a new manager for the village Liquor Store.
Members present:
Edward Schwartz, Mayor; Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, August Meyer, Trustees
Dan Bailey acted as Clerk in the absence of H.A. Briggs.
A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Dow that the Council of Elk River hire Mr. Balow
of Onamia as manager of the Liquor Store in Elk River at a salary of $350.00 per month beginning
Feb 1, 1954. Motion carried.
