VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 15, 1954
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on July 15, 1954 for the purpose of reviewing
operation of the Liquor Store and determining condition of village finances and insurance.
Members present:
Edward Schwartz, Mayor; Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A.
Briggs, Clerk
Manager Balow of the Liquor Store and auditor, Bicklin were present and reported on the progress
of liquor store business.
Stanley Wheaton reported on the condition of the various village insurance policies. After this the
Council discussed the plan of consolidating the village insurance as much as possible.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
