VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 6, 1955
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Sept 6, 1955.
Members present:
Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk
The meeting was called to order by acting Mayor Dan Bailey in the absence of Mayor Schwartz. The
minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
T.H. Daly showed the council general form for village insurance showing different items and the
amount of insurance. Some adjustments were made.
As vacancies have occurred on the village library board cause by resignation of Henry Engelke and
Rev. Gilbertson, a motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Dow to appoint O. Barsness and
Frank Nickerson on the Library Board. Motion carried.
Motion by Bailey and seconded by Meyer to levy sewer assessment as completed on Eight St. as
prepared by Dan Bailey. Carried.
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
