VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 5, 1955
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to order by Mayor Schwartz on
December 5, 1955 with all members present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved.
A delegation with John Bailey as spokesman representing Elk River Associated Investors, Inc. met
with the Council. They asked about a suitable site for the R.E.A. for an office building. There was
discussion regarding possible sites that might be available.
A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Briggs to appoint Susan Dare, O.M. Barsness and
Rev. D. D. Jansen on the Library Board. Carried.
Motion by Bailey and second by Dow to authorize transfer of $5,000.00 from the liquor fund to the
general fund. Carried.
