VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 23, 1956
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Building on May 23, 1956. All
members were present.
The meeting was called by Mayor Schwartz for the purpose considering the addition of a second
story on the present Municipal Building. Engineer H.W. Friedland was present, also Lester Derr,
Harry Dreissig, Fire Chief and Supt. Richard Halter.
After some discussion a motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Bailey that the Village enter
into a contract with H.W. Friedland for plans for such an addition with a basic fee of 8% of the last
of the building and an additional 2% for separate contracts.
Roll call note was called for and the motion carried, all voting in favor.
Meeting adjourned.
