VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 4, 1956
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to order on June 4, 1956 by Mayor
Schwartz. Members present, Schwartz, Dow, Meyer and Bailey. Dan Bailey acted as Clerk in the
absence of H.A. Briggs. The minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read and
approved.
A delegation from the Fire Department consisting of Vernon Hetrick, Harry Dreissig, and Miltion
Salk were present. They asked for an appropriation of $230.00 for expenses of sending delegates to
the Firemen’s Convention. A motion was made by Dow and seconded by Meyer to allow that
amount. Motion carried.
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
