A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PARK PLAN AS AN ADDENDUM TO
THE CITY OF ELK RIVER'S 1988 GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River identified
the need to further refine the City's 1988 Growth
Management Plan regarding parks; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River contracted the services of
Sanders and Associates Inc., Planning Consultants, to
conduct a detailed study and prepare a park plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River's Park and Recreation
Commission reviewed and refined the plan by Sanders &
Associates Inc; and
WHEREAS, the Elk River Planning Commission held a public
hearing regarding said park plan and gave
recommendation to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River held public
hearing regarding said park plan.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River determined
to refer back to the Park and Recreation Commission
consideration of the Eagle Lake area wide park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River, Minnesota that the Master Park and
Recreation Plan prepared by Sanders and Associates,
dated April, 1990, as reviewed by the Elk River
Planning Commission and approved by the City Council
and amended September 17, 1990, to delete the Eagle
Lake Area Wide Park, is adopted as an addendum to
the City of Elk River's 1988 Growth Management Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council
directs the Park and Recreation Commission to study
and report back to the City Council as it relates to
the Eagle Lake Area Wide Park.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 17 day of September 1990.
