VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 20, 1956
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Building on August 20, 1956 for
the purpose of considering plans for a second floor addition on the present Municipal Building. The
plans call for the Library being on the second floor. The librarian, Mrs. Page and members of the
Library Board, Alice Nickerson and Rev. Jansen were present. The Library Board objects to having
the Library on the second floor.
Mr. H. Friedland showed the plans for the addition and there was some discussion about them.
Village Attorney, John McGibbon was present and reported on the Wexler property.
Meeting adjourned.
