VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
September 16, 1957
A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on September
16, 1957, all members were present.
Supt. Parker of the Elk River schools was present. He feels that there should be some supervision of
the skating rink on the school grounds, especially Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings. This rink is
partly a public rink besides being used by the school pupils and Mr. Parker asked that the village
assume part of the responsibility of supervision.
Mayor Schwartz appointed a committee composed of Fred Sandberg and Harry Briggs to meet with
the school board at their next meeting to see if some plan can be worked out.
Meeting adjourned.
