VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 20, 1959
A special meeting was held at the Village Hall on May 20, 1959 for considering the purchase of the
Creamery building. Members Present: Mayor Johnson, Bergeson, Briggs and Meyer. Members of
Commission present were: William Patenaude, Otis Nickerson. Also Richard Halter, Merton Laley,
A.E. Balow and Atty Mac Gibbon.
A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Bergeson to pay plant site in the amount of $509.36.
Carried.
A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Meyer to thank Mitchell and Grant for assistance in
the legislature granting the Village permission to buy site for the sewage treatment plant. Motion
carried.
