Provide staff direction regarding a request to deed a section of trail to the city.
Background/Discussion
The city received a request from the developer of the Mississippi Oaks subdivision to transfer ownership of a
segment of trail, Outlot A, Mississippi Oaks Second Addition, to the city. The trail connects to the end of
Concord Court NW and turns north, creating a trail connection to Mississippi Road. There are two remaining
sections of the trail that are under separate ownership and are not included with this request.
Staff is uncertain why this trail was not transferred to the city at the time of platting as the city maintains the trail.
Current standards would have required the trail to be deeded to the city.
If the Council is comfortable accepting the parcel staff will work with the property owner to complete the transfer.

None
Mission/Policy/Goal
Transfer would meet Trails Master Plan goals for long-term access to pedestrian trails.
