VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October 5, 1942
The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Elk River was held in the Municipal
building at 8:00 P.M. with the following members present:
M.C. Teach, Mayor, A.F. Roehlke, Clerk, E.L. Shadick, G.A. Bailey and Frank Nickerson, trustees.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Motion was made by E.L. Shadick, seconded by Frank Nickerson and passed, asking the clerk to
write a letter to Northern States Power Co. in the matter of taking over Elk River Power plant and
the Village grant them a franchise for power and light.
The following bills were approved and ordered paid.
Harold R. Caley, Inc. – Map for liquor store - $.98
