VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 2, 1942
The Elk River Village Council met in the Council room with all members present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Sewer assessments of Les Bailey and C.N. Lockwood were discussed.
Petitions were presented to council for 5 additional streetlights, but the Elk River Power Light Co.
advised no further street slights available for duration of war.
A resolution was made by E.L. Shadick, seconded by G.A. Bailey, fixing next year’s budget as
follows:
General Fund $6,000.00
Library Fund $ 550.00
R & B Fund $2,800.00
Poor Fund $ 800.00

Frank Nickerson moved and E.L. Shadick seconded that Chas M. Nelson salary be increased to
$12.00 per month for care of Village hall.
