VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 30, 1943
The special meeting of the Elk River Village council was held in the Municipal building on June 30,
1943 at 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of selecting a liquor store manager to succeed Geo. Cornelius.
Present: G.A. Bailey, acting Mayor, E.L. Shadick, Elmer Leger, trustees, and A.F. Roeblke, clerk.
The following applications were considered – C. N. Knolle, Robert Humphrey, Geo. Gouger, C.J.
Leseard, Joe Schwab, ? Meyers and Fred Billing.
Fred Billing was selected by unanimous vote.
The Council agreed to allow Leo Dagle to operate on Mag. Johnson’s license until his credentials
can be checked by the Council.
