VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 6, 1943
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village council was held in the Municipal building on July 6,
1943.
Present: G.A. Bailey, acting Mayor, E.L. Shadick, Elmer Leger, trustees, and A.F. Roeblke, clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Harold N. Moddy, of St Paul spoke to the Council and visitor present, pointing out that
municipal ownership in all towns in Minnesota is making money for the taxpayers.
It was moved by Elmer Leger and seconded by Ernie Shadick that we investigate value of electric
light distribution system in city limits and that ?, King and Day be contacted in this connection.
Ernie Shadick moved and Elmer Leger seconded that the following bills be approved and paid.
