VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 19, 1943
The special meeting of the Elk River Village council was held in the Municipal building on July 19,
1943.
Members present – G.A. Bailey, acting Mayor, Ernie Shadick and Elmer Leger Trustees and A.F. Roeblke,
clerk.
Moved by Leger and seconded by Shadick that Mrs. L.D. Bailey, Mrs. H.A. Briggs and Mrs. L.A. Dare be
recommended for Library Board. Motion carried.
Moved by Shadick and seconded by Leger that Leo Dayle be granted on and off beer license. Motion
carried.
Moved by Leger, seconded by Shadick that Newton Whit?arsh be granted permit to build garage.
Motion carried.
Leger moved and Shadick seconded that resignation of A.F. Roeblke be accepted. Motion carried.
Moved by Shadick and seconded by Leger that G.A. Briggs be appointed to fill unexpired term as clerk.
Motion carried.
Moved by Leger and seconded by Shadick that May Johnson be reimbursed $70.00 on license on
account of being drafted into service.
