VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 2, 1943
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on August
2, 1943
Members present Shadick, Leger, Bailey, and Brigg.
Minutes of the last regular meeting and special meeting of July 19, 1943 were read and approved.
Charlie Nelson appeared regarding auxiliary motor for pumping station. Acting Mayor, Bailey
appointed Elmer Leger and Charles Nelson as a committee to contact both garages to see about
motor and report.
Application for beer license was received from W.M. Lindefelser.
Moved by Shadick and seconded by Leger that no ore beer licenses be issued in the village of Elk
River for the duration except to those who have cancelled their licenses on account of the present
emergency. Motion carried.
