VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 1, 1943
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on
November 1, 1943
Members present Bailey, Shaddick, Leger, and Briggs.
Motion by Leger and seconded by Shaddick that the salary of the librarian, Mrs. Page be raised to
$30.00 a month straight salary instead of being paid by the hour. Motion carried.
Clerk was instructed to send out bills for out of town fires responded to by the Fire Department.
Motion by Leger and seconded by Bailey that the following persons by appointed as judges and
clerks of election for the Village election on Dec. 7, 1943:
Judges: Mrs. Eva Foley
Mrs. C.D. Kabbier
John Anderson
Clerks: H.A. Briggs
Mrs.W. Greganer
Motion carried.
Clerk was instructed to post notices of election and have ballots printed.
