VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
December 10, 1943
The special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on
December 10, 1943
Members present Art Bailey, acting president, Shaddick, Leger, and Briggs.
Mr. R.W. Richardson made a report on the appraisal of the Elk River Power and Light Co.
distributing system, which is on file.
The civic affair committee of the Elk River Commercial Club met with the council.
It was recommended by the Commercial Club Committee that the franchise with the Elk River
Power and Light Co. be terminated if possible.
Motioned by Shaddick, seconded By Leger that the council contract attorney Moody in regard to the
termination of the franchise with the Elk River Power & Light Co.
Motion carried.
Motion by Leger, seconded by Shaddick that bill of R.W. Richardson for $350.00 for services be
allowed.
