VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 3, 1944
Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on April 3,
1944.
All members were present. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Glenn W. Davidson.
The Civic Affairs Committee of the Elk River Commercial Club was present.
Engineer, R.W. Richardson was also present and gave information in regard to electric transmission
business in several towns similar in size to Elk River.
Mr. Scherf of the Bank of Elk River gave detailed information in regard to the electric power and
light system at Ada, Minnesota.
There was considerable discussion about the electric power and light transmission system for Elk
River.
Motion by Leger and seconded by Kramer that the following be appointed as judges and clerks for
special election to be held on April 11, 1944:
Judges – J.C. Anderson, Eva C. Bernier, Pauline Kaliher
Clerks – H.A. Briggs, Mabel Grenpner
The following bills were allowed, and order paid:
