VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 5, 1944
Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on June 5,
1944.
All members were present.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
R.W. Hauske met with Council in regard to a playground program for the summer and life saver for
the swimming beach.
A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Kramer that $250.00 be appropriated for playground
for the summer. Motion Carried.
A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Leger for an alternate proposition to appropriate the
sum of $400.00 for recreation program and life guard combined. Motion Carried.
Mr. S. F. Brucles of Minneapolis met with Council in regard to obtaining beer license in case he
takes over the recreation. No action was taken at this meeting.
Clerk was instructed to mail warrant of $30.00 to E.J. Jansen for rent of Village dump for year 1944.
