VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 20, 1944
Special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on June 20,
1944.
All members were present.
Motion by Kramer and seconded by Briggs that application of S.F. Brucks for on and off beer
licensed be approved. Motion Carried.
The matter of on sale municipal liquor dispensary was brought up for discussion. Matter was held
over until next meeting.
Application for building permit of Erwin A Eull for building a garage was approved.
Motion by Leger and seconded by Bailey that Village buy $5,000.00 worth or war bought out of
general fund. Carried.
Clerk was instructed to publish notice of Equalization meeting in Star News.
It was decided to advertise for sealed bids for wood on fair grounds owned by the Village and Clerk
was instructed to place advertisement in Star News.
