REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October 2, 1944
Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held in the Municipal building on October 2,
1944, with all members present.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Davidson.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Bailey and seconded by Kramer that Faltz, King, and Day be retained by the village to
assist in post-war planning and also give assistance regarding service and electric light business.
Motion carried.
A letter from the Elk River Power and Light Co. was received refusing the Village offer of
$25,000.00 for the local light plant.
Following is the levy approved for 1945:
General Fund $6,000.00
Library Fund $ 750.00
R & B Fund $2,800.00
Poor Fund $ 800.00
Band & 2 Mills
