SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 11, 1945
A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at Davidson’s Store on May 11, 1945.
There was some discussion about the many complaints recently received regarding damage caused
by dogs to gardens and shrubbery.
A motion was made by Leger and seconded by Briggs that ordinance no. 12, passed on Feb. 24,
1921 relating to licensing of dogs in the village be enforced and the Clerk instructed to have it re-
published in the Star News. Further that the fees be amended to be three dollars per year ($3.00) for
females and one dollar and a half or males ($1.50). Motion Carried.
The Clerk was also instructed to write the League of Minnesota Municipalities for a sample zoning
ordinance.
On motion meeting adjourned.
