RESOLUTION 90 - 63
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE UPGRADE OF 173RD AVENUE
AT THE BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD TRACKS
WHEREAS, the City has entered into an agreement with Burlington Northern
Railroad Company for the upgrading of the railroad crossing at
173rd Avenue; and
WHEREAS, 173rd Avenue is deficient in cross-section and design strength;
and
WHEREAS, 173rd Avenue is planned for upgrading by the City in the next
several years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota:
1. Maier Stewart and Associates, Inc. is hereby authorized to prepare
plans and specifications for the upgrading of 173rd Avenue tn the
vicinity of the railroad crossings.
2. Maier Stewart and Associates, Inc. is directed to coordinated the
upgrading of 173rd Avenue with the proposed Burlington Northern
Railroad Company improvements.
