REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October1, 1945
Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on October 1,
1945.
The following members were present: Davidson, Leger, Briggs.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Davidson.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Halslo the new Electric Light Superintendent met with the Council and there was considerable
discussion regarding future plans for the light and power business.
Shadick and Galchutt applications for erection of a building between the Shadick building and
Greupners was up for consideration. Moved by Leger and seconded by Briggs that application be
approved. The motion carried.
The following tax levy was approved for the coming year:
General Fund $5,000.00
Road and Bridge $2,800.00
Library Fund $750.00
Poor Fund $600.00
Bond 2 mills
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
