REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 3, 1945
Regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on December 5,
1945 with all members present.
Ward Halsbo was present at the meeting and gave report a bout the progress of the electric power
and light business.
Mac Harnlett met with the Council in regard to closing of the alley in the rear of the hotel. However
it appears that the highway does not intend to close the alley.
The Clerk was instructed to bill the Greyhound Bus Company for two recent fires at $25.00 each.
It was decided to install a street light in the Patenaude district.
It was agreed to try to make a lease on the building occupied by the Elk River Public Utilities for
two years with a two year option.
