RESOLUTION 90-64
A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 23,
1990, AS "ELKS DAY"
WHEREAS, The Elk River High School Football Team will play for
the AA State Football title against Anoka on Friday,
November 23, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the Elks have earned their way to the Hubert H.
Humphrey Metrodome through first-class sportsmanship
and team playing during the 1990 football season; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, as well as the citizens of Elk
River, are proud to have the City of Elk River
represented by the Elks at the Dome on November 23,
1990; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council and the entire community will be
supporting the Elks during their game for the State
championship against Anoka; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council commends the Elks football team,
coaches, and the high school for an outstanding year
of team play and show of sportsmanship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that Friday, November 23, 1990, be hereby
declared as:
"ELKS DAY"
in honor of the Elks Football Team.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 19th day of November, 1990.
