SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
July 5, 1946
A special meeting of the village council was held on July 5, 1946 at 5 PM to meet with the property
holders who were in the in to the regular monthly meeting July 1 in regard to setting aside a public
alley.
The property owners involved appeared and advised that they had reached an agreement and that if
the council would reimburse the Houlton Investment Co for moving a small building that was in the
way the alley could be so designated as a public alley and deeds of transfer to the village would be
given free of charge.
The village council instructed Howard Wakefield, Village Attorney to draw up the necessary
resolution and deeds of transfer to effect this establishment of a public alley.
Meeting adjourned.
