SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 26, 1946
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Building on September 26, 1946.
Members present Mayor Davidson, Leger and Skellenger.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Davison.
Mr. Fred Otto of Faltz, King and Day was present at the meeting. There was considerable
discussion regarding the service we are getting in electric lights and power. A motion was made by
Leger and seconded by Skellenger that the Village advertise for bids for two diesel engines. The bids
to opened at the Council room on Oct. 29, 1946 at 4 P.M. and the Faltz, King and Day prepare the
advertisement and specifications. The motion carried.
Motion be Skellenger and seconded by Leger that the Village accept the offer of the R.E.A. to
furnish assistance in removing the Monticello pole line belonging to the Village, the R.E.A. to get
the right of way and the Village all the material. The motion carried.
