REGULAR MEETING VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 2, 1946
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the municipal building on
December 2, 1946 with the following members present: Leger, Skellenger, Kramer and Briggs.
Trustee Leger called the meeting to order in the absence of Mayor Davidson.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Lawerence E. Shaughnessy of the Park-Shaughnessy Finance Co. of St. Paul consulted with the
Council regard to financing the revenue bonds for the diesel engines.
Applications for the building permits filed by ? Millhouse and Walter Johnson were up for
consideration and upon motion by Skellenger and second by Kramer both applications were
approved.
The following board for the Village Election was approved by the Council:
Judges: E.W. Dickey, Charles Brown and Mrs. Kaliher
Clerks: Edna Gibbs, Eva Bernier.
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
Elk River Pub. Utilities – Street Work 4 mo. $308.70
Elk River Pub. Utilities - Elec. Bill for May. $204.20
First Nat’l Bank – Ins. on truck $10.10
First Nat’l Bank – Ins. on concession stand $6.65
Leger Truck Line – Freight $1.54
Fire Department – Services $19.50
Roggatz Pure Oil – Repairs and gas $8.03
Dr. E. L. Clothier – Case of jail inmate $4.00
Charles M. Nelson – Nov. Salary and Car $147.50
Hugh Oenes – Deputy Marshall $154.73
N.W. Bell Telephone Co. – Nov. $11.85
Elk Café – Meals and ticket – Transient $2.74
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
