VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 4, 1961
A regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Village Hall on Dec 4, 1961. All
members were present.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A.
Briggs, Clerk
Adolph Lindall was present. He ask for assistance from the village. There is some chance that he
may be eligible for social security. The clerk agreed to take him to St. Cloud to talk to the social
security office there.
E.L. Shadick and Don Norris met with Council and asked if the zoning ordinance can be published
soon.
A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Briggs to publish the zoning ordinance as soon as
possible. Motion carried.
John E. MacGibbon, Village attorney, will prepare a notice to be published the same time as the
ordinance. The notice will have to do with possible changes that may be made in the ordinance.
A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Meyer to close out the Municipal Building fund and
transfer the amount $5054.98 to the Liquor Store Reserve Fund and buy a Certificate of Deposit for
$10,000.00. Motion carried.
