VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 8, 1962
A special meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Village Hall on Jan. 8, 1962 with
all members present. The purpose of the meeting was to consider giving Leroy Toth a beer license
for the Main Street Tap as Mr. Rosbalt has terminated his beer license for that location. Leroy Toth
presented an agreement signed by himself and Mr. Rosbalt stating that Rosbalt had given up his
claim to the premises. Toth asked for a beer license for that location. Also present were John Olson
and Walter Schumacher.
A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Briggs that the license be granted. The vote was
taken by ballot with results yes 1 and no 3. Abstain 1. The license was denied.
Meeting adjourned.
