RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE INTENT TO HOLD A SPRING
CLEAN UP DAY
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes the litter prevention
and control benefits of a clean up day; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River would provide the necessary
local financing and accept and exercise the
governmental powers necessary to develop and operate a
clean up day if a grant is awarded from the Office of
Waste Management for such a purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River would consider the opportunity
to possibly collect appliances, tires, scrap metal,
batteries and other large bulky items such as couches
and mattresses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Elk River will hold a clean up day if a grant
is awarded from the Office of Waste Management.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 10th day of December, 1990.
