A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER REQUESTING
THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
PERFORM AN ENGINEERING AND TRAFFIC STUDY
OF THE SCHOOL ZONES
WHEREAS, the City has determined there is a need for a school speed zone to
be established on both School Street and Main Street at Proctor
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a speed zone can only be established based on an engineering and
traffic study as prescribed by the Commissioner of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota:
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hereby requested to
perform an engineering and traffic study for the purpose of creating a
school speed zone on both School Street between TH 169 and Proctor
Avenue and Main Street at Proctor Avenue.
