VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 3, 1963
The regular meeting of the Elk River Village Council was held at the Village Hall on Sept. 3, 1963.
Present: Johnson, Meyer, Norris, and Briggs. Larson was absent. The meeting was called to order by
Mayor Johnson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Norris to renew on and off beer license for the
Crossroad Café. Carried.
Mr. Paul Ogdahl of Minneapolis presented an application for a building permit to erect an
apartment house on Fourth St. and Proctor Ave. The application was approved subject to
requirements of the village zoning ordinance.
The clerk was asked to again advertise for bids for the sale of the school property on west Main St.
Building permits were issued to Elk River Lumber Co and Eugene Vassar.
The matter of insurance for all village employees was discussed. Another meeting about this will be
held later.
