DISCUSSION:
The IT/OT Technician has been working with city staff on a number of projects, including
planning for server and core switch replacements, continued projects with Microsoft,
and familiarization with fiber loop.Staffhas also been helping with network, door
control,camera, and security plans for the field services facility.
Field staff has started installation of infrastructure to prepare for the relocation of the
feeders on the field services property. We are getting updated transformer foundation
pricing and preparing for contractors to be on site.
We have received updated budgetary pricing for the Field Services Facility Expansion,
due to increased material costs during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the large
amount of earthwork to be done and retaining walls to be built, we are looking into cost
savings. We are looking at adjusting the footprint of the building and alternative
locations on site that would allow for significantly less earthwork.
Applications were submitted to the City for Conditional Use Permit, Easement Vacation,
Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Rezoning, as well as a Variance for parking and impervious
surface. Applications have passed through the Planning Commission and will go to City
Council on October 19.
