RESOLUTION 88-44
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE SERVICE OF MARY TEMPLE
TO THE CITY OF ELK RIVER PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Mary Temple was appointed to the City's Planning
Commission on April 2, 1984, and served on the Planning
Commission through December of 1987, and;
WHEREAS, during Mary Temple's tenure as a member of the Planning
Commission, the City of Elk River experienced rapid
growth in residential, commercial, and. industrial
areas, and;
WHEREAS,
during Mary Temple's tenure as a member of the Planning
Commission, the City realized substantial commercial
development through the Planning Commission's time
consuming efforts in creating a Planned Unit
,Development around Highway 169, south of School
Street, and;
.
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that Mary's outstanding
service to the City of Elk River should be recognized
and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River, that Mary Temple's service to the City of
Elk River is hereby recognized as a significant
contribution towards the quality growth the City of
Elk River has realized, and also was a significant
contributing factor in making the City of Elk River a
more desirable City in which to live.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this sixth day
of June, 1988.
