A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Accepting Bids for
the Public Safety Building Expansion Improvements
WHEREAS, the City Council, and City staff have worked with BKV Group and Terra
Construction, Inc., on the design plans for the Public Safety Building Expansion
Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for the Public Safety
Building Expansion Improvements and authorized the taking of bids for the project at its
September 21, 2020, meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the advertisement for bids for the construction of the Public
Safety Building Expansion Improvements Project, bids were received for 31 project
categories, opened, and tabulated according to law; and
WHEREAS, Terra Construction, Inc., is recommending the award of the contract to
appropriate responsible bidders of each of the categories listed below:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The prime contracts to the recommended low bidders are hereby awarded except
for Categories 13C#613 — Casework, BC#9D - Carpet & Resilient and BC#32A —
Fencing.
Terra will re -issue these categories to bid and receive three competitive quotes for
these bid categories. These bid categories are as follows:

2. Alternate 1 - Casework in the Basement EOC, Alternate 3- Roof Top Air Handler

hereby selected and their costs have been included accordingly in the bid numbers
detailed above.
3. The assignment of the prime contracts to Terra Construction, Inc., is hereby
authorized.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member
Christianson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:

WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 19t' day
of October 2020.
