A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN
A NORTHERN ACCESS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND
THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City wishes to create a new City street (Deerfield
3rd Northern Access) which would connect with trunk
Highway 169; and,
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) has
purchased controlled access onto trunk Highway 169 for
the purpose of limiting the number of entrances coming
into trunk Highway 169 to control 1 the overall safety
and capacity of said trunk Highway 169; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to cooperate with Mn/DOT in the efforts
to create safe trunk Highway 169 through the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that the Mayor and City Administrator are
hereby authorized to enter into an agreement between
the City and Mn/DOT for the creation of a new street,
(Deerfield 3rd Northern Access) which would connect
with trunk Highway 169.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Elk River this
15th day of August, 1988.
