RESOLUTION 89 - 14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER A RESOLUTION REASSESSING A CERTAIN PARCEL ASSESSED IN EXCESS FOR THE 1981 SEWER INTERCEPTOR PROJECT WHEREAS, Parcel PID #117-000-284205 is owned by Lois Carton and was assessed $1,819.61 in 1981 for Sewer Interceptor Improvements; and, WHEREAS, the assessment was not appealed during the normal special assessment appeal process; and, WHEREAS, this property consists of a pond which has been deemed unbuildable by the City Building and Zoning Administrator and it is not economically feasible to improve the land to a buildable state; and, WHEREAS, the improvements will never benefit the property; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that because this property is and will continue to be unbuildable, the assessment is excess and should be reduced. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that the remaining portion of the assessment ($1,569.98) be reduced to zero and cancelled from the assessment role as certified to the County Auditor.
