Approve, by motion, the final logo for the Furniture and Things Community Event Center.
Background/Discussion
The City Council engaged Front Burner Sports to develop a sponsorship program for the multipurpose facility
and to solicit naming rights partners. The Council also appointed a subcommittee to work with Front Burner
Sports in the sponsorship process which included Mayor Dietz and Councilmember Wagner.
On October 19, 2020, the Council approved a contract with Furniture and Things, Inc. as the primary sponsor
for the multipurpose facility. Article I-2a requires the logo to be agreed upon by both parties and to be approved
by the Elk River City Council. The subcommittee and city staff have been working with leadership and creative
staff from Furniture and Things on the final logo.
The subcommittee and Furniture and Things, Inc. management are proud to submit the final logo for City
Council approval, which will begin the marketing partnership program implementation.
