DISCUSSION:
With the rise in COVID-19 cases, staff has been making arrangements for the December
8 commission meeting, which will be conducted exclusively by telephone or other
electronic means. Special meeting notices and provisions will need to be made to offer
the public a way to monitor the meeting and provide public comment. Testing and
training on the use of teleconferencing software will also be a focus for the
administration and communications department.
The 2021 Energy Efficient Appliance Rebates and 2021 LED Light Rebate Coupons will be
going out to customers with the December bills. These two rebate programs are very
popular with our customers, which is one of the reasons we send them out the month
before the new year begins. Attached are copies of the two bill inserts.
November and December social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: an
update on ERMUs field services facility construction project; video: does changing your
furnace filter really save energy?; availability of 2021 recycling schedules; and several
public service announcements such as dates of upcoming commission meetings, holiday
business closures, and trash pickup delays.
This months featured social media post ERMU Reduces Paper Use. As part of our
communications efforts to spotlight different departments within our organization, this
months post shares how the accounting department has worked to align their
operating procedures withour mission, vision, and values. Click here to view the post
and a fun six second video the communications department created.
The Communications Coordinator and Conservation & Key Accounts Manager met at the
end of November to discuss the 2021 marketing plan for bill inserts. Based on the
conversation a tentative schedule has been established.
