RESOLUTION 89 - 46
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING CHANGES IN THE
CHARITABLE GAMBLING LAWS
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River, during City Council meetings,
review various local charitable gambling request; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the charitable gambling
activities of the various local and nonprofit
organizations operating within the City of Elk River;
and,
WHEREAS, the benefit received by financial support of local
charitable gambling activities is significant to such
organizations as the Chamber of Commerce, Land 0' Lakes
Choirboys, the Senior Citizens, the City, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City .Gouncil of the City of
Elk River that the City Council opposes any changes in
the Charitable Gambling Law that would reduce the funds
available for public activities.
