RESOLUTION 89-53
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSPORTATION
TO STUDY CERTAIN ROADS IN THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING SPEED ZONES
WHEREAS,
the Elk River City Council has determined that
there are streets in the City of Elk River upon
which the designated speed zone is of concern to
the Council; and,
WHEREAS,
Minnesota Statute requires that the City Council
request the Commissioner of Transportation to
investigate appropriate speed zones in the areas
of question with the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS,
the City's request to the Commissioner of
Transportation for the investigation and eventual
establishment of speed zones must be made by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that the Commissioner of
Transportation is hereby requested by the Council
to investigate the following streets within the
City of Elk River for the purpose of establishing
the appropriate speed zones:
192nd Avenue - Deerfield III Addition
Zane Avenue - Deerfield III Addition
Carson Street - Deerfield IV Addition
Dodge Street - Deerfield IV Addition
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
